Evelyn Jacks, Best-selling Author, and President, The Knowledge Bureau
Evelyn Jacks is Founder and President of The Knowledge Bureau, a national designated education institute and publisher, which provides excellence in financial education to tax and financial advisors and their clients.
A best-selling author of over 40 books, Ms. Jacks is a member of the Federal Task Force on Financial Literacy, which will deliver recommendations for a national strategy on financial literacy in 2010. She was previously appointed by the Premier of Manitoba to establish direction for a new provincial tax regime as a Commissioner for the Lower Tax Commission.
Ms. Jacks has received numerous distinguished awards in recognition of her contributions to excellence in financial education including the YM-YWCA’s Business Woman of the Year and the prestigious National Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year from the Rotman School of Business. She has also been recognized with an international Business Leadership Award by the Canadian Embassy in Washington, D.C.
Ms. Jacks has served as a Governor of the Manitoba Club, and a Cabinet Member on the United Way. She has served on the Board of Associates at the University of Manitoba, and as an Executive of the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, as well as on the boards of numerous other organizations.
